Communication material printing codes

For printing codes on materials developed or printed by the Communications department [for general IEC and the IEC Conformity Assessment Systems] use:

  • one or two words of the title that describe the publication, or
  • the commonly used acronym for the technology area, or
  • the number of the TC for a technical committee brochure

Printing codes include the date of release [YYYY-MM], followed by the language version in parenthesis

Examples1

IEC Welcome:2016-08(en) is the printing code of the English version of the brochure Welcome to the IEC

 

IEC Counterfeit:2015-01(ru) is the printing code of the Russian version of the brochure Piracy in electrical and electronic products – Anti-counterfeiting best practice and strategies

For IEC White Papers and Technology Reports, add WP and TEC respectively in the printing code

Examples1

IEC WP Stable grid:2018-10(en) is the printing code of the IEC White Paper Stable grid operations in a future of distributed electric power

 

IEC TEC LVDC:2017-09(en) is the printing code of the IEC Technology Report LVDC: electricity for the 21st century
